God requires of us a detailed reports of how we spent our lives. We are accountants to our Creator.

𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐑𝐄 𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐂𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐆𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐃𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐊

So, God wants us to be in our right sense all the time unlike Noah who drunk to naked and David who knew the power of hard drink so he made Uriah drunk to lose his senses after he slept with servant's wife, Uriah. Rulers of people must always be in their right senses for the life of people is in their hand. It is easy to pervert judgement when drunken. God doesn't want man to be under a robotic control of anything, such as alcohol. Man must give report in detail of all his dealings at the end of time. And a man being influenced by drink, food, women, money, properties may lose his senses to take responsibility of his acts. That's why Bible enjoins us to live a moderate life.

"Let your moderation (consideration) be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." Philippians 4:5

You know the rich man message Jesus gave that it's not easy for them to make heaven, it's not that they cannot make heaven at all but because they have everything at their finger tips, and being controlled by their god (money) is inevitable, they'd buy things with no stress.

"And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour." Ecclesiastes 2:10

The reason God goes against being drunk of wine is because he wants us to be responsible and take responsibility for all our actions and inactions. And not wine alone; being full of anything is a time-bomb. You lose your sense of reasoning. So, God requires of a man a sound mind and He wants us to be high spirited. And also a man who's been made a controller of the other creatures of God must not be controlled again, because his must give account of all that are committed to him.

"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:12
